Car parking is unavoidable in a high density city like Hong Kong. An intelligent car parking system which can receive more cars with less space may be one of the solutions easing this problem. Siemens cooperated with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University to build up an intelligent car parking system in 2004. The car parking system was fully automatic controlling by PLC, no human control was needed. RFID System was included for driver identification and security system. The operation of car park can be monitor and control easily through WinCC human machine interface system.
